Activity
Volunteers arrive at St John’s Church​ (or a bit before and we can let you know what to do!)
​Public start to arrive at St John’s Church
Volunteers // Adults to supervise  (please ensure no candles are being used)
​Once people have their lanterns/lights they should wait outside in the churchyard

FTC Marshalls will be at front & rear of parade / along route in high viz. 
Volunteers to help ensure an ordered lantern parade behind Samba Band, tricycle lantern // Mel & Aliss

We’ll be escorted down the hill by Frome Town Council Event Marshalls, who will be in contact with the Event Controller / Police by radio

The Christmas tree lights will be switched on and the Samba band will play again, leading people away towards the Library 

Procession ends at the Library, procession participants are able to leave (taking their lanterns with them)

​Responding to concerns:

Concern	Action
If a member of the procession is injured/requires medical assistance	Escort individual to St John’s Ambulance (at No.5 cafe, next to George Hotel)
If a child/person become lost or separated from their family	Escort individual to lost point in the George Hotel where there are PA facilities
Rubbish/lanterns at end of parade	Encourage people to put rubbish in the bins or take home, lanterns must be taken home and cannot be left in town
Any other concerns	Remain alert and report any concerns to FTC Event Marshall, Event Controller, or Police
Hazardous weather	In the event of hazardous weather/conditions, the parade will be cancelled by FTC at 3pm on the day and posted on FTC website, social media and LTN website, please share if necessary
