The Lantern Parade will be led by Jamma de Samba, then Mel, Aliss and
Peter our wonderful electric trike driver,  with our special showstopper leading lanterns!

Please follow Event Safety instructions from Frome Town Council :

Please gather near St John's Church
bring a lantern if you'd like to be in the parade
* no more than 2 people for each lantern in the parade please *

Follow on behind the trike and lead lanterns

Christmas Lights Switch On

*  A reminder for anyone at the front of the procession - when the Samba Band peel off to the performance area by the Christmas tree, it is important that you follow the lead lanterns / trike until it stops near Iceland in order to get the full procession into the town centre, many thanks!

16.00                  Road closures come into force (see FTC website for more info)
17.00 – 18.00    Stilt walker and Musical Performances in town centre

18.00                 Lantern carriers assemble on Bath Street  (please no more than 2 people for each lantern in the parade)
18.20                 Lantern procession commences from Bath Street,  St John’s
18.40                 Lantern procession arrives in the Market Place *       
18.45                 Mayor's address and lights switch-on from the balcony

18:50 > 19:00   Samba party > Event finishes
