* Oakfield and Selwood School groups / Lantern Carriers -
Please gather in North Parade Car Park from 5.45pm
Event info and timings:
5:55 - 6:00 > Town Crier welcoming the Mayor along Cheap Street to the balcony of The George
+ performances from local singers and stilt walkers
3:00-7:30 > Food Court in Cattle Market car park / outside Library area
4:00 - 9:00 > Road closures in place
5:45 > Lantern carriers * Begin gathering at North Parade Car Park
6:15 > Samba band will set off with trike and lead lanterns, to the Christmas tree. Please follow on behind the lead lanterns
Please note >
- Walk to the event where possible
- Be aware of road closures and parking
- * Maximum 2 people per lantern please, in the parade, others please watch from road sides
6:45 - 6:50 > the Christmas Lights Switch On
